- Oversee daily logistics operations to ensure efficiency and timely delivery of products to Costco warehouses.
- Manage and develop a team of logistics coordinators to maintain high standards of performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve logistics processes and reduce costs.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for product transportation and delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing team to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing, sales, and warehouse to optimize logistics operations.
- Review and improve current logistics policies and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to implement best practices and improve processes.
- Train and mentor team members to develop their skills and knowledge in logistics operations.
- Communicate with senior management to provide updates on logistics performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Handle any issues or concerns related to logistics operations in a timely and professional manner.
- Continuously monitor and improve customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of logistics operations and provide regular updates to management.
Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Logistics And Supply Chain Management, Preferably In A Retail Or Warehouse Environment.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead And Motivate A Team.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
Knowledge Of Industry Best Practices And Regulations Related To Logistics, Including Inventory Management, Transportation, And Warehouse Operations.
