Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all aspects of transportation and distribution operations for Costco Wholesale, including coordinating with carriers, monitoring delivery schedules, and ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness in logistics operations, while maintaining the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  3. Manage a team of logistics coordinators and other staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure operational goals are met.
  4. Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to optimize logistics operations.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and inventory management, to ensure seamless coordination and communication across all areas of the supply chain.
  6. Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to transportation and distribution, including safety and environmental regulations.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, vendors, and other partners to ensure competitive pricing and reliable service.
  8. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on logistics operations and address any issues or concerns.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve and innovate in logistics operations.
  10. Uphold Costco Wholesale's standards of excellence and commitment to delivering exceptional value and service to our members.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Logistics Or Supply Chain Management, Preferably In A Retail Or Warehouse Environment

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With Experience In Overseeing A Team Of Logistics Employees

  • Knowledge Of Transportation And Distribution Processes, Including Inventory Management And Warehouse Operations

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Abilities, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.
