We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Logistics General Manager. As the leader of our logistics department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth transportation and distribution of our products to our warehouses and ultimately, to our members. We are looking for someone who is passionate about logistics, has a strong attention to detail, and is able to lead and develop a team.   1. Oversee and manage the logistics department to ensure efficient and timely transportation and distribution of products to warehouses and members.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics processes and reduce costs.
  3. Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  4. Maintain relationships with carriers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  5. Train, mentor, and develop a team of logistics staff to ensure high-quality performance and continued growth.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination and execution of logistics operations.
  7. Ensure compliance with all transportation and safety regulations.
  8. Manage inventory levels and coordinate with inventory team to ensure availability of products for members.
  9. Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve any logistical issues.
  10. Monitor market trends and developments in logistics and make recommendations for process improvements.
  11. Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance to senior management.
  12. Develop and maintain budget for logistics operations.
  13. Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of transportation vehicles and equipment.
  14. Liaise with customer service team to address any logistical concerns from members.
  15. Uphold company values and standards of professionalism at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Experience In Logistics And Supply Chain Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Logistics Or Supply Chain Management Role, Preferably In A Retail Or Wholesale Setting.

  • Strong Leadership And People Management Skills: As A General Manager, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Logistics Professionals. They Should Have Proven Experience In Managing And Motivating A Team To Achieve Goals And Deliver Results.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: Costco Wholesale Deals With A High Volume Of Products And Complex Logistics Operations. The General Manager Should Have Strong Analytical Skills To Identify And Solve Potential Issues In The Supply Chain.

  • Knowledge Of Transportation And Distribution Processes: The General Manager Will Oversee The Transportation And Distribution Of Products From Warehouses To Stores. They Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Processes And Be Able To Optimize Them For Efficiency.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Logistics, Or A Related Field: A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Is Typically Required For This Position. A Degree In Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Or Business Administration Can Provide The Necessary Knowledge And Skills For The Role.
