- Assist cashiers with processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a positive shopping experience for our members.
- Work closely with the cashier team to ensure smooth and efficient operations at the checkout.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels at the checkout, restocking items as needed.
- Keep track of and report any discrepancies or issues with transactions.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions and sales to assist customers with their purchases.
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve any customer complaints or concerns.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including cash handling and store safety protocols.
- Assist with training new cashiers and providing guidance and support when needed.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to provide a positive and efficient shopping experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager or supervisor.
Strong Customer Service Skills: Cashier Assistants At Costco Must Have Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Provide Exceptional Service To Customers.
Cash Handling Experience: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience Handling Cash And Operating A Cash Register, As This Is A Key Responsibility Of The Job.
Ability To Multitask: Cashier Assistants Are Often Required To Handle Multiple Tasks At Once, Such As Processing Transactions, Answering Customer Questions, And Restocking Merchandise.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Crucial In This Role, As Cashiers Must Ensure That All Transactions Are Processed Correctly And That The Correct Change Is Given To Customers.
