- Safely operate a delivery truck to transport merchandise from the business center to various locations.
- Plan and organize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Load and unload merchandise from the truck with care and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Provide exceptional customer service to members by greeting them with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Communicate effectively with members and team members to address any delivery issues or concerns.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck and delivery area.
- Collaborate with business center team members to ensure accurate and complete orders for delivery.
- Ensure all merchandise is handled and delivered with care to maintain its quality and condition.
- Coordinate with warehouse and inventory team members to ensure accurate and efficient loading and unloading of merchandise.
- Continuously monitor and maintain the truck's maintenance and repair needs.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing the Costco brand.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
- Take initiative and work independently to problem solve and make decisions related to delivery needs.
Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl): A Business Center Truck Driver At Costco Wholesale Must Possess A Valid Cdl With The Appropriate Endorsements For The Type Of Vehicle They Will Be Operating.
Clean Driving Record: Costco Wholesale Requires All Business Center Truck Drivers To Have A Clean Driving Record With No Major Violations Or Accidents Within The Past Three Years.
Prior Truck Driving Experience: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience Driving A Commercial Vehicle, Preferably In A Delivery Or Business Center Setting.
Physical Fitness: As The Job May Involve Heavy Lifting And Long Hours Of Driving, Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
