  1. Develop and implement executive compensation strategies that align with Comerica Bank's business objectives and drive overall success.
  2. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to executive compensation and make recommendations for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with senior leadership and HR team to identify key business needs and design compensation programs that attract, retain and motivate top talent.
  4. Conduct market research and analysis to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
  5. Develop executive compensation policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with local and federal laws.
  6. Manage the annual executive compensation review process, including evaluating performance and making recommendations for salary increases, bonuses, and equity awards.
  7. Partner with internal stakeholders to effectively communicate compensation plans and changes to employees and executives.
  8. Provide guidance and support to HR team on executive compensation matters, including job evaluations, market pricing, and equity recommendations.
  9. Analyze and report on the effectiveness and cost of executive compensation programs.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve executive compensation programs to attract and retain top talent and drive business results.
  11. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for executive compensation related inquiries and issues.
  12. Lead and participate in special projects related to executive compensation and HR initiatives.
  13. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee and company information.
  14. Collaborate with external vendors and consultants as needed.
  15. Represent Comerica Bank as a thought leader in executive compensation at industry events and conferences.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Executive Compensation: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Executive Compensation, Preferably In A Financial Institution Or Large Corporation. This Should Include Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements, Market Trends, And Best Practices.

  • Strong Understanding Of Human Resources Principles: As A Human Resources Principal Executive Compensation Consultant, The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Hr Principles, Policies, And Procedures. This Includes Knowledge Of Employee Benefits, Performance Management, And Employment Laws.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, To Effectively Communicate With All Levels Of Employees And Management. They Should Also Be Able To Build And Maintain Strong Relationships With Key Stakeholders.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Role Of A Compensation Consultant Requires Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills. The Candidate Should Be Able To Gather And Analyze Data, Identify Trends And Patterns, And Develop Solutions To Complex Compensation Issues.

  • Project Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing Complex Projects And Leading Cross-Functional Teams. They Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously And Ensure Timely Completion Within Budget And Scope. Additionally, Experience In Managing Executive Compensation Programs And Initiatives Is Preferred.
