  3. Collaborate with senior underwriters to evaluate creditworthiness and make recommendations for loan approvals.
  4. Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide updates on loan status.
  5. Utilize industry knowledge and market research to identify potential risks and opportunities for loan applicants.
  6. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and bank policies and procedures.
  7. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge of industry trends.
  8. Maintain accurate and organized records of loan files and documentation.
  9. Proactively identify and address any potential issues or concerns related to loan applications.
  10. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge and best practices.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures for more efficient and effective underwriting.
  12. Represent the bank in a professional manner and uphold the bank's values and reputation.
  13. Act as a mentor and resource for junior underwriters in the Commercial Underwriting Program.
  14. Stay updated on industry regulations and market trends to ensure the bank's underwriting practices are in line with best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Or A Related Field: A Strong Educational Background Is Essential For Success In A Commercial Underwriting Program. A Bachelor's Degree In A Business-Related Field Will Provide A Solid Foundation In Financial Analysis And Risk Assessment.

  • Previous Experience In Commercial Underwriting: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Commercial Underwriting. This Will Demonstrate Their Understanding Of The Industry And Their Ability To Evaluate The Creditworthiness Of Businesses.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory And Compliance Requirements: A Strong Understanding Of Regulatory And Compliance Requirements Is Crucial For A Commercial Underwriter. This Includes Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws, As Well As Industry-Specific Regulations.
