- Proactively search for and detect potential cyber threats to the company and its customers.
- Conduct in-depth investigations and analysis of potential threats to determine their severity and potential impact.
- Utilize various tools and techniques to identify and mitigate risks, including threat intelligence, data analysis, and vulnerability scanning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and share information, and work together to respond to potential threats.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve threat hunting strategies.
- Document and report on threat hunting activities, findings, and recommendations to senior management.
- Develop and maintain threat hunting playbooks and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in threat detection and response.
- Mentor and train junior team members on threat hunting techniques and best practices.
- Work closely with other security teams to improve overall security posture and ensure alignment with company policies and standards.
- Participate in incident response activities as needed, including containment, investigation, and remediation of security incidents.
Extensive Experience In Threat Hunting: A Senior Threat Hunter At Comcast Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Threat Landscape And Be Able To Proactively Hunt For Emerging Threats And Vulnerabilities.
Strong Technical Skills: This Role Requires Proficiency In Various Security Tools And Technologies, Including Siem, Endpoint Detection And Response (Edr), Network Traffic Analysis, And Threat Intelligence Platforms.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Senior Threat Hunter Should Be Able To Analyze Large Data Sets And Identify Patterns Or Anomalies That Could Indicate A Potential Threat. They Should Also Be Able To Think Creatively And Strategically To Stay Ahead Of Evolving Threats.
