  1. Conduct thorough research and analysis of state and local tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance for Comcast.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and government agencies to gather necessary information and support for tax audits.
  3. Prepare and review relevant data, reports, and documentation to support tax positions and responses to audit inquiries.
  4. Identify potential tax risks and provide recommendations for mitigation strategies to minimize tax exposure.
  5. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties to provide updates on audit progress and address any questions or concerns.
  6. Utilize strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of all tax-related documentation and filings.
  7. Stay current on changes in state and local tax laws and regulations, and proactively identify potential impacts on Comcast's tax position.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and streamline tax compliance processes.
  9. Assist with special projects and initiatives related to state and local tax planning and strategy.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert on state and local tax matters, providing guidance and support to other teams within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of State And Local Tax Laws: A Senior Analyst, State And Local Tax Audit At Comcast Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Tax Laws And Regulations At The State And Local Level. This Includes Knowledge Of Income, Sales, Property, And Other Taxes.

  • Experience In Tax Audit And Controversy Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Tax Audit And Controversy Management, With The Ability To Handle Complex Tax Audits And Disputes With State And Local Tax Authorities.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Senior Analyst, State And Local Tax Audit, One Must Be Able To Analyze Large Amounts Of Data, Identify Potential Tax Issues, And Come Up With Effective Solutions To Mitigate Any Risks Or Exposures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Interaction With Various Internal And External Stakeholders, Including Tax Authorities. Therefore, The Candidate Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate Complex Tax Matters And Build Relationships.

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Accounting, Taxation, Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Accounting, Taxation, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Role. A Relevant Professional Certification, Such As Cpa Or Cmi, Is Also Preferred.
