  1. Develop and maintain a robust and efficient Python automation framework for Comcast systems and processes.
  2. Lead a team of engineers in the development and implementation of the Python automation framework.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
  4. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
  5. Continuously monitor and improve the performance and scalability of the automation framework.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Python and automation to drive innovation within the team.
  7. Communicate project updates, progress, and challenges to stakeholders and management.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or bugs in the automation framework.
  9. Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality and standards are maintained.
  10. Develop and maintain documentation for the automation framework and processes.
  11. Collaborate with other teams to integrate the automation framework into existing systems and processes.
  12. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the automation framework.
  13. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to software development and automation.
  14. Take ownership of the automation framework and drive its success within the organization.
  15. Train and onboard new team members on the automation framework and processes.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Python Programming: The Principal Engineer Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Python Programming Language And Its Applications In Automation. They Should Be Able To Write Efficient And Optimized Code For Automation Tasks.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Automation Frameworks: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Automation Frameworks Such As Robot, Pytest, And Selenium. They Should Be Able To Choose The Most Suitable Framework For Different Automation Tasks.

  • Experience In Developing Automated Test Scripts: The Principal Engineer Should Have Experience In Developing Automated Test Scripts For Various Applications, Including Web, Apis, And Databases. They Should Be Able To Design And Execute Test Cases To Ensure The Quality Of The Software.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Best Practices: The Candidate Should Be Familiar With Industry Best Practices For Automation, Such As Continuous Integration And Delivery, Test-Driven Development, And Agile Methodologies. They Should Be Able To Implement These Practices In Their Work To Improve Efficiency And Quality.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: As A Principal Engineer, The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Resolve Complex Issues In The Automation Process. They Should Be Able To Troubleshoot And Debug Code To Ensure Smooth Functioning Of The Automation Tasks.
