- Lead the development and management of enterprise-wide BI data products, including identifying business needs, defining product requirements, and overseeing the implementation process.
- Develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of enterprise data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and data quality enhancements.
- Manage a team of data analysts and engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to foster a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
- Monitor and report on the performance of data products and governance processes, and make recommendations for improvements or adjustments as needed.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in data management and analytics, and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness of enterprise data products and governance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, to understand their needs and ensure alignment of data products and governance with business goals.
- Conduct training and workshops for internal teams to promote data literacy and understanding of data governance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data products are integrated seamlessly into existing systems and processes.
- Maintain a high level of data integrity and security, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Extensive Experience In Data Management And Governance: A Strong Candidate For This Role Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Data Management Principles And Best Practices, As Well As Experience In Implementing Governance Frameworks For Large Datasets. This Includes Knowledge Of Data Quality, Data Lineage, And Data Security.
Proficiency In Enterprise Bi Tools: The Manager Should Have A Strong Command Of Enterprise Bi Tools Such As Tableau, Power Bi, Or Microstrategy. They Should Be Able To Design And Develop Complex Data Models, Dashboards, And Reports To Meet The Needs Of Various Stakeholders.
Leadership And Team Management Skills: This Role Will Involve Leading A Team Of Data Professionals, So The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Managing And Developing A Team. They Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, Be Able To Delegate Tasks Effectively, And Foster A Collaborative And Inclusive Work Environment.
Business Acumen And Strategic Thinking: A Successful Manager In This Role Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Business And Industry Trends, As Well As The Ability To Think Strategically And Make Data-Driven Decisions. They Should Be Able To Identify Opportunities For Improvement And Drive The Development Of Innovative Data Products To Meet Business Needs.
Excellent Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills: The Manager Will Be Responsible For Communicating Complex Data Concepts And Insights To Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Executives.
