- Manage and maintain the company's Oracle database to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for the database.
- Collaborate with other team members to design and implement database solutions for new projects.
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as data purging and index optimization.
- Create and maintain documentation related to database configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle database technologies and best practices.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their database needs.
- Identify and propose solutions for database performance and scalability issues.
- Proactively identify potential database issues and develop solutions to prevent them.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical database issues.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners to resolve complex database issues.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working As An Oracle Dba, Preferably In A Large-Scale Enterprise Environment.
Strong Knowledge And Experience With Oracle Database Administration, Including Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting, And Performance Tuning.
Proficiency In Sql And Scripting Languages Such As Pl/Sql, Python, Or Perl.
Familiarity With Comcast's Technology Stack And Systems, Including Cable And Internet Infrastructure, Is A Plus.
