- Work with developers to optimize code and improve application reliability.
- Implement and maintain automated deployment processes to ensure efficient and error-free deployments.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on application reliability and stability.
Experience In Managing Large-Scale, High Availability Systems: Sres At Comcast Must Have A Strong Background In Managing And Scaling Complex Systems That Are Critical To The Company's Operations. This Includes Experience With Technologies Such As Kubernetes, Docker, And Cloud Platforms Like Aws Or Azure.
Strong Coding And Automation Skills: Sres Should Be Proficient In At Least One Programming Language And Have Experience With Automation Tools Like Ansible, Puppet, Or Chef. They Should Also Have A Deep Understanding Of Software Development Principles And Be Able To Write Clean And Efficient Code.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Monitoring And Troubleshooting Techniques: Sres Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Monitoring Tools And Techniques To Identify And Troubleshoot Issues In A Timely Manner. This Includes Experience With Tools Like Splunk, Prometheus, And Grafana, As Well As An Understanding Of System And Application Logs.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: Sres At Comcast Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Developers, Operations, And Other Business Units. They Must Have Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate And Coordinate With These Teams, As Well As The Ability To Explain Technical Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
Ability To Handle High-Pressure Situations And Prioritize Tasks: Sres Must Be Able To Work Well Under Pressure And Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously.
