- Lead and manage the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) at Comcast, ensuring the team is well-trained, motivated, and equipped to respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies and procedures for identifying, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, in line with industry best practices and company policies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, and proactively monitor and assess our network for potential risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security gaps and develop solutions to mitigate them.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Act as the main point of contact for all security incidents, communicating with relevant stakeholders and providing timely updates on the status and resolution of incidents.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation plans.
- Manage relationships with external security vendors and partners, including incident response service providers, to ensure effective support during critical incidents.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, including IT, legal, and executive leadership, to ensure a coordinated and unified response to security incidents.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the SIRT, including setting goals, conducting performance evaluations, and identifying opportunities for growth and development.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the incident response process, incorporating feedback and lessons learned to enhance the team's capabilities and efficiency.
- Represent Comcast as a subject matter expert in security incident response, both internally and externally, by participating in industry events and conferences, and sharing insights and best practices with the broader security community.
Extensive Experience In Cyber Security And Incident Response: A Senior Manager Of Security Incident Response Team At Comcast Should Possess A Strong Background In Cyber Security, Including Experience In Managing And Responding To Security Incidents. This Includes Knowledge Of Security Tools, Techniques, And Best Practices.
Leadership And Management Skills: As A Senior Manager, This Role Requires Strong Leadership And Management Skills To Effectively Lead And Guide The Security Incident Response Team. This Includes The Ability To Make Critical Decisions Under Pressure, Delegate Tasks, And Provide Guidance And Support To Team Members.
Technical Expertise: In Addition To Leadership Skills, A Senior Manager Of Security Incident Response Team Should Also Have A Deep Understanding Of Technical Aspects Of Cyber Security, Including Network And System Security, Malware Analysis, And Threat Intelligence. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Oversee And Guide The Response To Complex Security Incidents.
Communication And Collaboration Skills: This Role Involves Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including It, Legal, And Compliance, To Manage Security Incidents.
