2. Assist with Project Preparation: Help prepare worksites by gathering necessary materials, setting up tools and equipment, and completing other tasks as directed by the lead carpenter.
3. Learn and Develop Carpentry Skills: Work closely with experienced carpenters to learn and develop skills in areas such as framing, finishing, and installation.
4. Perform Carpentry Tasks: Assist with and eventually perform various carpentry tasks, including measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials according to blueprints and specifications.
5. Maintain Tools and Equipment: Keep tools and equipment clean and in good working condition, reporting any issues to the lead carpenter.
6. Complete Project Documentation: Accurately complete project documentation, including progress reports, material logs, and time sheets.
7. Follow Instructions: Follow instructions from the lead carpenter and other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
8. Communicate Effectively: Communicate any issues or concerns to the lead carpenter in a timely and professional manner.
9. Keep Work Area Clean: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of materials and debris.
10. Learn and Adhere to Building Codes: Familiarize yourself with and adhere to local building codes and regulations to ensure compliance with safety and construction standards.
11. Demonstrate a Strong Work Ethic: Exhibit a strong work ethic and dedication to learning and improving your skills as a carpenter.
