Maintenance Mechanic, 2nd Shift

- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production equipment to ensure continuous operation and maximum efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical or electrical issues that may arise during production.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and identify potential issues before they become larger problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and replacements.
- Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to troubleshoot complex issues and develop solutions.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and order necessary maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with production and management teams regarding maintenance needs and updates.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in maintenance technology.
- Provide support for other departments as needed.
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
Experience In Mechanical Maintenance: A Qualified Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Mechanical Maintenance, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Setting. This Experience Should Include Troubleshooting, Repairing, And Maintaining Mechanical Equipment, Such As Motors, Pumps, And Conveyors.
Knowledge Of Electrical Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Electrical Systems And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Repair Basic Electrical Issues. This Includes Knowledge Of Electrical Circuits, Wiring Diagrams, And The Ability To Use Electrical Testing Equipment.
Technical Education Or Training: A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For This Role, But Candidates With Technical Education Or Training In Mechanical Maintenance Or Related Fields Will Be Preferred. This Could Include A Trade School Certificate Or An Associate's Degree In A Relevant Field.
Ability To Work 2Nd Shift: This Role Requires Working The 2Nd Shift, Which Typically Runs From 2Pm-10Pm. Therefore, Candidates Must Have A Flexible Schedule And Be Willing To Work Evenings. Previous Experience Working 2Nd Shift Or In A Similar Shift-Based Role Is A Plus.
Physical Stamina And Dexterity: Maintenance Mechanics Must Be Able To Lift And Move Heavy Equipment, Stand For Long Periods Of Time, And Perform Physically Demanding Tasks. Candidates Should Be In Good Physical Condition And Have The Dexterity To Work With Their Hands And Use Various Tools And Equipment.
