Conduct thorough testing of ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and quality.
Develop and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts for ETL processes using Python automation.
Collaborate with a team of data management professionals to identify and troubleshoot issues.
Continuously monitor and improve ETL testing procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Communicate test results and provide recommendations for improvements to project stakeholders.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in ETL and Python automation to bring innovative ideas to the team.
Work closely with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to understand project requirements and ensure testing meets business needs.
Identify and report defects, and track their resolution using appropriate tools and processes.
Participate in project planning and estimation to ensure testing efforts are accurately accounted for.
Mentor and guide junior testers in ETL processes and Python automation techniques.
Adhere to Cognizant's quality standards and procedures while performing testing activities.
Proactively identify and raise potential risks and issues to project leadership.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of data management principles and best practices.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Etl Testing: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Etl Testing, Including Both Manual And Automated Testing. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Etl Processes And Tools Such As Informatica, Datastage, Or Talend.
Proficiency In Python Automation: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Command Of The Python Programming Language And Should Be Able To Write Efficient And Effective Automation Scripts For Etl Testing. They Should Also Have Experience With Testing Frameworks Such As Pytest Or Robot Framework.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Database Concepts: The Sr. Etl Tester Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Database Concepts Such As Sql Queries, Data Modeling, And Data Warehousing. They Should Also Be Familiar With Different Database Management Systems Such As Oracle, Sql Server, And Mysql.
Experience With Data Quality And Validation: The Candidate Should Have Experience In Data Quality And Validation Techniques, Including Data Profiling, Data Cleansing, And Data Reconciliation. They Should Also Have Experience With Data Governance And Data Security Practices.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Sr. Etl Tester Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills And Be Able To Identify, Troubleshoot, And Resolve Complex Issues In A Timely Manner. They Should Also Be Able To Think Critically And Provide Innovative Solutions To Improve The Overall Quality Of Etl Processes.
