- Design, develop, and execute automated tests using Selenium to ensure the quality and functionality of software products.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand the requirements and identify testing needs.
- Create and maintain test cases and test plans that cover all aspects of the software products.
- Continuously improve and update automated test scripts to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot and identify issues in the software products and work with the development team to resolve them.
- Communicate test results and provide recommendations for improvement to the development team.
- Stay updated with new testing methodologies, tools, and technologies to continually improve the testing process.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Document and report any defects or issues found during testing.
- Provide accurate time estimates for testing tasks and ensure timely delivery of results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth testing process and timely project delivery.
- Identify areas of improvement in the testing process and suggest solutions for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
- Train and mentor junior testers on testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Stay updated with industry standards and best practices in software testing.
- Adhere to company and project-specific quality standards and processes.
Proficiency In Selenium: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Selenium And Its Various Components Such As Selenium Webdriver, Selenium Ide, And Selenium Grid. They Should Also Be Able To Write Efficient And Maintainable Automated Test Scripts Using Selenium.
Knowledge Of Programming Languages: A Strong Foundation In Programming Languages Such As Java, Python, Or C# Is Essential For A Selenium Tester At Cognizant. They Should Be Able To Use These Languages To Write Test Scripts And Perform Tasks Like Data Manipulation And Validation.
Experience In Test Automation: Cognizant Is Looking For Candidates With Experience In Test Automation, Preferably With Selenium. The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Automation Frameworks, Testing Methodologies, And Best Practices For Test Automation.
Understanding Of Agile Methodology: The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of The Agile Methodology And Its Principles. They Should Be Able To Work In A Fast-Paced, Collaborative Environment And Deliver High-Quality Test Automation Solutions Within The Sprint Timeline.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Selenium Tester At Cognizant, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Identifying, Analyzing, And Documenting Defects And Issues In The Application Under Test. Therefore, They Should Have Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Troubleshoot And Resolve Issues Efficiently.
