Manage and optimize NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB, to ensure efficiency, security, and scalability.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand database needs and provide solutions.
Maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions.
Stay updated on emerging NoSQL database technologies and make recommendations for implementation.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing appropriate data validation rules and procedures.
Proactively identify and resolve database-related issues and recommend improvements.
Develop and maintain database security protocols to protect sensitive data.
Design and implement database maintenance schedules and procedures.
Train and support team members on database management and best practices.
Collaborate with application developers to optimize database design and performance.
Participate in database capacity planning and scaling efforts to accommodate company growth.
Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues in a timely manner.
Continuously monitor and improve database processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience With Mongodb: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Mongodb Database Architecture And Be Proficient In Managing, Configuring, And Troubleshooting Mongodb Databases.
Strong Knowledge Of Nosql Databases: In Addition To Mongodb, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Other Nosql Databases Such As Cassandra, Hbase, Or Couchdb.
Database Performance Optimization Skills: The Candidate Should Be Able To Analyze Database Performance Metrics And Identify Areas For Optimization, Such As Indexing, Sharding, Or Query Tuning.
Experience With Cloud-Based Databases: As Cognizant Is A Leading Provider Of Cloud Services, The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience With Cloud-Based Database Solutions, Such As Amazon Dynamodb, Microsoft Azure Cosmos Db, Or Google Cloud Bigtable.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: A Nosql/Mongodb Database Administrator At Cognizant Will Be Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Developers, Data Analysts, And System Administrators. Therefore, Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
