1. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with our water safety and swimming skill objectives.
2. Conduct swimming classes for individuals of all ages and abilities, including beginners, intermediate, and advanced swimmers.
3. Create a safe and welcoming environment for participants by enforcing safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized pool area.
4. Provide individualized instruction and feedback to participants to help them improve their swimming skills and techniques.
5. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress and any concerns or issues that may arise.
6. Demonstrate and model proper swimming techniques and safety procedures.
7. Adapt teaching methods and strategies to meet the needs and learning styles of each participant.
8. Collaborate with other swimming instructors and staff members to coordinate schedules and ensure the smooth operation of the swimming program.
9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in swimming instruction, and incorporate new techniques and methods into lesson plans.
10. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
11. Maintain accurate records of participation and progress for each participant.
12. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere to encourage a love for swimming and a healthy lifestyle.
13. Represent the City of Ventura in a professional and positive manner at all times.
14. Serve as a role model for participants by promoting good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
15. Uphold and enforce all facility rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
