  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and repairing facilities and equipment.
  2. Conduct inspections of facilities and report any issues or needed repairs.
  3. Respond to and address maintenance requests from city staff and residents.
  4. Operate and maintain various tools and equipment necessary for facility maintenance.
  5. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and report any needs for restocking.
  6. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance needs and projects.
  8. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and completed tasks.
  9. Identify and troubleshoot facility issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  10. Ensure all facilities are in compliance with city codes and regulations.
  11. Assist with special projects and events as needed.
  12. Communicate effectively with team members and superiors to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  14. Continuously seek out opportunities for improvement and suggest ways to enhance facility maintenance processes.
  15. Provide excellent customer service to all residents and visitors.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For This Position Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Is Able To Understand And Follow Instructions.

  • Previous Maintenance Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Maintenance Role, Preferably In A Public Or Government Setting. This Experience Should Include Basic Knowledge Of Plumbing, Electrical, And Hvac Systems.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Protocols: As A Facilities Maintenance Worker, The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Procedures. This Includes Knowledge Of Osha Regulations, Proper Handling Of Chemicals, And Safe Operation Of Equipment.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written. This Is Necessary For Interacting With Other Staff Members, Contractors, And The General Public.

  • Physical Ability: This Position Requires Physical Labor, Such As Lifting Heavy Objects And Standing For Long Periods Of Time. The Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks With Ease. They Should Also Be Able To Work In Various Weather Conditions.
