
Facilities Maintenance Leadworker

- Oversee and direct a team of maintenance workers to ensure efficient and effective operation of City facilities.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance and repair schedules for various City buildings and facilities.
- Supervise and participate in the maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify potential maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment breakdowns and ensure safe and functional facilities.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff on proper procedures and techniques for facility maintenance.
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies and materials for maintenance and repair work.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment maintenance logs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols related to facility maintenance.
- Collaborate with other departments and City officials to identify and address facility maintenance needs and concerns.
- Assist with budgeting and cost management for the maintenance department.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in facilities maintenance to improve processes and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and City officials to provide updates, recommendations, and reports on maintenance activities.
- Lead by example and foster a positive and productive work environment for the maintenance team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Facilities Maintenance Or A Related Field.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent. Technical Or Trade School Certification Preferred.
Demonstrated Leadership And Supervisory Experience, With The Ability To Lead A Team Effectively.
Knowledge Of Building Systems And Equipment, Including Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical, And Carpentry.
Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize And Handle Multiple Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment.
