- Develop and maintain risk management policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the community.
- Identify potential risks and hazards within the City of Tucson and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Conduct risk assessments and analyze data to identify trends and potential areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to implement risk management strategies and initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Create and maintain accurate records and reports related to risk management activities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in risk management and make recommendations for their implementation.
- Train and educate employees on risk management protocols and procedures.
- Manage and oversee insurance policies and claims processes.
- Serve as a liaison between the City of Tucson and insurance providers.
- Respond to and investigate incidents and accidents, and make recommendations for future prevention.
- Communicate with community members and stakeholders regarding risk management initiatives and procedures.
- Handle any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the City of Tucson.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Risk Management Or Related Field, Preferably In A Municipal Government Setting
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Related To Risk Management, Insurance, And Liability
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Evaluate Potential Risks And Develop Effective Mitigation Strategies
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Departments And Stakeholders To Promote A Culture Of Risk Awareness And Prevention.
