Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Public Housing Manager to join our team and oversee the management of our public housing program. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and operation of our public housing properties, while also advocating for the needs and well-being of our tenants.   1. Oversee the day-to-day management of the public housing program, ensuring all properties are properly maintained and operated according to city and federal regulations.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective management of public housing properties.
  3. Monitor and track budget and expenses related to the public housing program, and make necessary adjustments to ensure financial stability.
  4. Collaborate with city officials, community organizations, and other stakeholders to advocate for the needs and well-being of public housing tenants.
  5. Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with health, safety, and housing standards.
  6. Manage and supervise a team of staff members, including maintenance workers and social service providers, to ensure a high level of service for tenants.
  7. Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
  8. Coordinate with local agencies to provide support and resources for tenants, such as job training, educational programs, and health services.
  9. Stay current on all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to public housing, and make recommendations for updates or changes as needed.
  10. Prepare and present reports to city officials and stakeholders on the progress and impacts of the public housing program.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Property Management, Preferably In A Public Housing Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Public Housing Programs, Including Hud Guidelines.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With A Diverse Resident Population And Community Partners.

  • Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Staff Members, Including Overseeing Budget And Financial Management.
