- Respond to inquiries and provide information about available housing options to residents and potential applicants.
- Process and review applications for housing assistance programs, ensuring all necessary documentation and eligibility requirements are met.
- Collaborate with property managers and landlords to ensure properties meet safety and quality standards for housing programs.
- Conduct interviews and assessments with applicants to determine their housing needs and eligibility for assistance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all housing assistance applications and program data.
- Communicate and coordinate with other city departments, community organizations, and government agencies to provide comprehensive services to residents.
- Conduct outreach and education programs to increase awareness and understanding of housing services available to the community.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to housing services.
- Monitor and track program budgets and expenditures, and make recommendations for improvements or adjustments as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders, addressing and resolving any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay informed and up-to-date on local, state, and federal housing policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of housing services.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to housing services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work Or A Related Field.
Experience Working With Low-Income And Vulnerable Populations.
Knowledge Of Local Housing Resources And Programs.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Ability To Navigate Complex Systems And Advocate For Clients.
