
Equipment Operation Specialist

- Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to backhoes, bulldozers, and excavators, to perform maintenance and construction tasks for city infrastructure.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment at all times, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues to supervisors.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Follow project plans and specifications to accurately complete assigned tasks.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality in all work performed.
- Adhere to city regulations and policies, as well as state and federal laws, while operating equipment.
- Provide training and guidance to new equipment operators as needed.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including equipment usage, materials used, and project progress.
- Continuously strive to improve skills and knowledge in equipment operation and maintenance.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic in all aspects of the job.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For An Equipment Operation Specialist Role At The City Of Tucson. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Is Able To Understand And Follow Instructions.
Relevant Experience: Previous Experience Operating Heavy Equipment, Such As Bulldozers, Excavators, And Loaders, Is Often Required For An Equipment Operation Specialist Position. This Experience Can Be Gained Through Previous Employment Or Vocational Training.
