  1. Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to evaluate the impact of development projects on the city's water resources.
  2. Develop and implement sustainable water management strategies to maintain the city's water supply and quality.
  3. Collaborate with city officials, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify and address potential water-related issues.
  4. Collect, manage, and analyze data related to water resources, including rainfall, streamflow, and groundwater levels.
  5. Design and oversee the construction of water infrastructure projects, such as stormwater management systems.
  6. Monitor and report on water resource trends, issues, and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as other government agencies and consulting firms, to support water resource management efforts.
  8. Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate water resource management plans and findings to various audiences.
  9. Stay current on industry developments and advancements in hydrology and water resource management to inform decision-making.
  10. Comply with all safety regulations and protocols while conducting fieldwork and working on construction sites.
  11. Uphold the city's sustainability goals and promote environmentally-responsible practices in all aspects of the job.
  12. Collaborate with other city departments and teams to integrate water resource management into broader city planning efforts.
  13. Train and mentor junior staff and interns in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis techniques and procedures.
  14. Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
  15. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Or Environmental Engineering, With Emphasis On Hydrology Or Water Resources.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Hydrologic Analysis, Modeling, And Water Resources Planning.

  • Proficiency In Relevant Software, Such As Hec-Hms, Hec-Ras, And Arcgis.

  • Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Regulations Related To Water Resources And Stormwater Management.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Other Engineering Professionals And Stakeholders.
