- Lead and coordinate community development projects and initiatives to positively impact the City of Tucson.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve community development processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective project implementation.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to community development.
- Oversee and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Communicate with community members, government officials, and other stakeholders to gather input and address concerns.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and businesses to support development projects.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential development opportunities and challenges.
- Provide guidance and support to team members and other staff involved in community development projects.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project updates and outcomes to stakeholders and government officials.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in all aspects of the job.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure community development aligns with overall city goals and objectives.
- Participate in community outreach efforts to engage and inform residents about development projects.
- Act as a liaison between the City and external agencies to facilitate partnerships and secure funding for community development initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree In Public Administration, Community Development, Urban Planning, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Community Development Or A Related Field, Preferably In A Municipal Government Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Community Development, Including Zoning, Land Use, And Affordable Housing.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Stakeholders And Community Groups.
Experience In Project Management, Grant Writing, And Budget Management.
