
Code Enforcement Administrator

- Monitor and enforce all city codes and regulations to ensure compliance by residents and businesses.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties and businesses to identify any violations and take appropriate action.
- Investigate and respond to complaints from residents regarding potential code violations.
- Work closely with other city departments, such as planning and zoning, to ensure consistent enforcement of codes and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of code enforcement activities and communicate updates to relevant parties.
- Educate and inform residents and business owners about city codes and regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve compliance with codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with other city officials to review and update codes and regulations as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between the city and residents/businesses regarding code enforcement matters.
- Attend city council meetings and provide updates on code enforcement activities.
- Train and supervise code enforcement staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Work with city attorneys to pursue legal action when necessary to enforce codes and regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in code enforcement to continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with the community and represent the city in a positive light.
- Uphold the values and mission of the City of Tucson in all code enforcement activities.
Bachelor's Degree In Urban Planning, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Code Enforcement Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Code Enforcement.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With A Diverse Community.
Experience Managing And Supervising A Team Of Code Enforcement Officers.
