
Civil Engineer - Planning Development

- Conduct research and analysis to assess the feasibility and impact of new development projects in the city.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop plans and strategies for sustainable growth and development.
- Design and oversee the construction of roads, bridges, public facilities, and other infrastructure projects.
- Ensure that all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the safety and quality of construction projects.
- Review and approve plans and proposals for development projects.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, and provide regular updates to superiors and stakeholders.
- Utilize engineering software and tools to assist in project design and analysis.
- Communicate with contractors, consultants, and other team members to ensure effective project coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices to continually improve project design and execution.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and interns.
- Act as a liaison between the city and community members, addressing concerns and providing updates on development projects.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and public hearings to present and discuss development plans and proposals.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in all aspects of work and represent the City of Tucson in a positive manner.
Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering Or Related Field From An Accredited University.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Urban Planning And Development Projects.
Strong Understanding Of Local And State Regulations, Zoning Laws, And Environmental Impact Assessments.
Proficiency In Autocad, Gis, And Other Related Software.
Excellent Communication And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Departments.
