  1. Perform regular maintenance tasks on buildings and facilities, such as repairing and replacing damaged fixtures, painting walls, and fixing minor electrical and plumbing issues.
  2. Inspect buildings and identify potential safety hazards, making necessary repairs to ensure a safe environment for residents and employees.
  3. Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Keep accurate records of maintenance performed and materials used, and report any major issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage rooms.
  6. Operate and maintain various tools and equipment necessary for building maintenance, such as power tools, hand tools, and cleaning equipment.
  7. Assist with snow and ice removal during inclement weather.
  8. Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient use of resources.
  9. Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while performing maintenance duties.
  10. Continuously strive to improve the overall appearance and functionality of buildings and facilities.
  11. Attend training and development programs as required to maintain and improve job skills.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude while representing the City of Tucson.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: The City Of Tucson Requires Applicants To Have Completed Their High School Education Or Have An Equivalent Degree.

  • Experience In Building Maintenance: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience In Building Maintenance, Including Knowledge Of Plumbing, Electrical, And Hvac Systems.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Procedures: A Building Maintenance Worker Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Be Able To Identify Potential Hazards In The Workplace.

  • Physical Ability: This Position Requires Candidates To Have The Physical Ability To Lift Heavy Objects, Climb Ladders, And Perform Other Physically Demanding Tasks.
