1. Plan and develop engaging and inclusive therapeutic recreation programs for individuals with disabilities.
2. Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
3. Provide individualized attention and support to participants to ensure their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
4. Collaborate with other team members to coordinate and implement program activities.
5. Maintain accurate records and documentation of program attendance and participant progress.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure the safety of all participants during program activities.
7. Continuously evaluate and modify program activities to meet the changing needs and interests of participants.
8. Communicate effectively with participants, their families, and other staff members.
9. Act as a positive role model and promote the mission and values of the City of Sunnyvale.
10. Stay current with trends and best practices in therapeutic recreation.
11. Assist in the recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers and staff members.
12. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
13. Represent the City of Sunnyvale in a professional and positive manner.
14. Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
15. Perform other related duties as assigned.
