
Temporary Part Time Librarian

- Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with finding and accessing library materials, services, and resources.
- Utilize strong knowledge of library operations to efficiently manage and maintain library collections, including cataloging, shelving, and weeding.
- Collaborate with library staff to plan and implement programs, events, and outreach activities for all ages.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of library policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in library services and implement them as appropriate.
- Support and participate in the promotion of library services and resources to the community through various marketing and outreach efforts.
- Provide technology assistance to patrons, including troubleshooting basic computer and software issues.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of library transactions, statistics, and inventory.
- Serve as a reference and research resource for patrons, answering questions and providing accurate and timely information.
- Collaborate with other city departments and community organizations to enhance library services and resources.
- Act as a positive and professional ambassador for the library and the city of Sunnyvale.
- Maintain a clean and organized library space, including shelving and organizing materials.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or library management.
Master's Degree In Library And Information Science From An Ala-Accredited Program.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Public Library Setting.
Familiarity With Library Systems And Software, Such As Sierra Or Evergreen.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills.
Flexibility And Availability To Work Evenings And Weekends As Needed.
