Temporary Groundsworker– Golf (Seasonal)

1. Perform daily tasks to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the golf course, including mowing, weeding, and general landscaping duties.
2. Operate various landscaping equipment, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers, in a safe and efficient manner.
3. Monitor and report any issues or concerns regarding the condition of the golf course, including potential hazards or needed repairs.
4. Work closely with the Golf Course Manager and other team members to ensure the golf course is in top-notch condition for guests to enjoy.
5. Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
6. Utilize proper techniques and tools to care for different types of grass, plants, and trees on the golf course.
7. Keep accurate records of daily tasks and submit reports to the Golf Course Manager as needed.
8. Assist with special projects and events as directed, such as setting up and maintaining decorations for tournaments or other events.
9. Communicate effectively with team members and guests, providing friendly and courteous service at all times.
10. Adhere to the City of Sunnyvale's policies and regulations, as well as the rules and regulations of the golf course.
11. Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of groundskeeping tasks.
12. Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry best practices and new equipment.
13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, representing the City of Sunnyvale in a positive light at all times.
14. Assist in other areas of the golf course as needed, including the pro shop, driving range, and cart staging area.
15. This is a seasonal position, and the employee must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
