1. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and watering to keep parks and open spaces clean and well-maintained.
2. Assist in planting, pruning, and caring for trees, flowers, and other vegetation in parks and open spaces.
3. Maintain park amenities such as playgrounds, sports fields, and picnic areas by performing repairs and regular inspections.
4. Monitor and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs to superiors.
5. Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for park events and activities.
6. Ensure that all equipment and tools are properly used, maintained, and stored.
7. Follow established safety protocols and procedures at all times.
8. Provide exceptional customer service to park visitors by answering questions and providing information.
9. Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the appearance and functionality of parks and open spaces.
11. Stay up-to-date on park and recreation trends and best practices.
12. Adhere to the department's policies, rules, and regulations.
13. Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
14. Represent the Parks and Recreation department in a positive and professional manner at all times.
