
Parks Worker

- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and watering in designated areas of the parks system.
- Inspect and report any damages or safety hazards within the parks to a supervisor.
- Operate and maintain various tools and equipment used for park maintenance, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and hand tools.
- Assist with planting and caring for trees, flowers, and other plants in the parks.
- Clean and maintain park facilities, including restrooms, picnic areas, and playgrounds.
- Respond to and address any park maintenance requests from the public in a timely and professional manner.
- Aid in the setup and cleanup of park events and programs.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective park maintenance.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working in the parks.
- Continuously monitor and report on the condition of the parks, including any needed repairs or improvements.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Attend trainings and meetings as required to stay updated on park maintenance techniques and procedures.
- Promote and maintain a positive image of the parks system and the City of Sunnyvale.
- Assist with snow and ice removal during winter months.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by a supervisor.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Parks Worker At The City Of Sunnyvale Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge Needed For The Job.
