1. Plan and lead engaging and age-appropriate activities for children in a day camp setting.
2. Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times.
3. Serve as a positive role model for campers by displaying enthusiasm, positivity, and professionalism.
4. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and other staff members.
5. Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and other important information.
6. Collaborate with other camp counselors and staff to create a fun and inclusive camp environment.
7. Be knowledgeable about camp policies and procedures and enforce them consistently.
8. Assist in the set-up and clean-up of camp activities and facilities.
9. Be prepared to handle any emergencies or conflicts that may arise.
10. Attend all required training and meetings prior to and during the camp season.
11. Continuously evaluate and provide feedback on camp programs to improve the overall experience for campers.
12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
13. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols set by the City of Sunnyvale.
