Job Description

As a Public Health Nurse at the City of St. Louis, you will have the opportunity to play an integral role in the health and welfare of our community. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for helping others, bring a strong sense of social justice and be an excellent communicator. We are looking for someone who is a licensed registered nurse (RN) with the ability to provide comprehensive nursing care for individuals and families and has at least two years of experience in public health, community health, or a related field. You must have a valid driver's license and have the ability to work with all cultural groups within the community. Above all, you must be a compassionate and caring individual who is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our citizens.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive nursing care to individuals and families in the community.
  2. Work with diverse cultural groups to ensure their health and well-being.
  3. Develop and implement public health and community health initiatives.
  4. Educate the public on health topics and disease prevention.
  5. Monitor health trends and develop strategies to address health disparities.
  6. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing intervention programs.
  7. Work with community partners to coordinate services and resources.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and health outcomes.
  9. Participate in community outreach activities.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
