  1. Oversee and manage a team of electrical inspectors, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  2. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and public buildings to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
  3. Review and approve electrical plans and permits for new construction and renovations.
  4. Investigate complaints and issues related to electrical systems, and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  5. Collaborate with other city departments and external partners to ensure effective communication and coordination in regards to electrical inspections.
  6. Stay updated on industry standards and changes in electrical codes, and implement necessary updates in inspection processes.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all inspections and related activities.
  8. Provide technical expertise and guidance to city officials, contractors, and residents regarding electrical systems and safety.
  9. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of electrical inspections.
  10. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to encourage their professional growth.
  11. Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed by the inspection team.
  12. Represent the city at meetings, conferences, and other events related to electrical inspections.
  13. Collaborate with city officials and external agencies to develop and implement policies and procedures related to electrical inspections.
  14. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the team.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the department director.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Electrical Inspection, Preferably In A Municipal Or Government Setting.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or A Related Field.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Electrical Codes, Regulations, And Safety Standards.

  • Strong Leadership And Supervisory Skills, With The Ability To Manage A Team Of Inspectors And Coordinate With Other Departments.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Contractors, Property Owners, And Other Stakeholders.
