  1. Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of life for residents of the City of St. Louis.
  2. Identify community needs and challenges and create solutions to address them.
  3. Work closely with local government officials and community organizations to promote sustainable growth and development.
  4. Serve as a liaison between the community and government agencies, advocating for the needs and concerns of residents.
  5. Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to city leaders.
  6. Plan and coordinate community events and initiatives to engage residents and foster a sense of community.
  7. Collaborate with other city departments to ensure alignment and integration of community development efforts.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including community leaders, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
  9. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community development programs and initiatives.
  10. Communicate regularly with residents to gather feedback and address concerns.
  11. Stay up-to-date on local and national trends and best practices in community development.
  12. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress and outcomes of community development efforts.
  13. Manage and track budgets for community development projects and programs.
  14. Represent the city at community meetings, events, and conferences.
  15. Serve as a positive role model for community engagement and involvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Urban Planning, Community Development, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Community Development, Preferably In A Local Government Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Local Laws And Regulations Related To Community Development And Urban Planning.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Engage With Community Members And Stakeholders.

  • Ability To Develop And Implement Community Development Programs And Projects, Including Securing Funding And Managing Budgets.
