- Provide compassionate and timely emergency medical care to patients in crisis situations.
- Respond to emergency calls and assess the medical needs of patients.
- Administer appropriate medical treatment, including administering medications and performing advanced life support procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other emergency personnel.
- Document all patient care and maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Remain calm and composed in high-stress and fast-paced environments.
- Collaborate with other emergency medical services personnel, including EMTs and firefighters, to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate patient conditions and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of patients and others on scene.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve clinical skills.
- Maintain and restock medical supplies and equipment.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and protocols related to emergency medical services.
- Provide support and assistance to other members of the emergency medical services team.
- Uphold the values and mission of the City of Santa Rosa and its emergency medical services department.
- Demonstrate professionalism and empathy in all interactions with patients and their families.
Valid Paramedic License From The State Of California
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Paramedic In A Similar Setting
Current Cpr And Acls Certifications
Ability To Work Flexible Shifts, Including Nights, Weekends, And Holidays
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment And Provide Compassionate Care To Patients.
