As a Communications Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our citizens by receiving and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls.   1. Answer and handle all incoming emergency and non-emergency calls in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Gather essential information from callers and accurately record it in the computer-aided dispatch system.
  3. Dispatch appropriate emergency responders to the scene of the reported incident.
  4. Monitor and track the location and status of emergency units.
  5. Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers in emergency medical situations.
  6. Relay critical information to emergency responders and other agencies as needed.
  7. Maintain communication with emergency personnel to ensure a coordinated response.
  8. Monitor and operate various communication systems, including radio, telephone, and computer-aided dispatch.
  9. Keep accurate records of all calls received and actions taken.
  10. Communicate with other departments and agencies to coordinate response and exchange information.
  11. Provide support and assistance to emergency responders in the field as needed.
  12. Remain calm and composed under high-stress situations.
  13. Stay updated on department procedures and protocols.
  14. Attend and participate in training programs to maintain and improve job knowledge and skills.
  15. Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy policies.
  16. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  17. Perform other related duties as assigned by superiors.
