  1. Receive comprehensive training: The Police Officer Trainee will undergo a rigorous and comprehensive training program that will prepare them for a successful career in law enforcement.
  2. Develop strong communication skills: The Trainee will be responsible for effectively communicating with colleagues, superiors, and members of the community. This includes verbal, written, and nonverbal communication.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Post-Certified Basic Police Academy: Candidates Must Have Successfully Completed A Post-Certified Basic Police Academy With A Valid California Peace Officer Standards And Training (Post) Certificate.

  • Valid California Driver's License: Applicants Must Possess A Valid California Driver's License At The Time Of Application And Throughout Employment.

  • U.s. Citizenship Or Permanent Resident: Candidates Must Be A United States Citizen Or A Permanent Resident Of The United States.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Applicants Must Possess A High School Diploma Or Equivalent At The Time Of Application.

  • Good Physical And Mental Health: Candidates Must Be In Good Physical And Mental Health As Determined By A Pre-Employment Medical Examination, Including Drug And Alcohol Screening.
