- Manage and maintain the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system for the City of Santa Monica, including troubleshooting, updates, and user support.
- Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient and accurate dispatch of emergency services.
- Train and educate emergency services personnel on the use and functionality of the CAD system.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to integrate new technologies and tools into the CAD system to improve response times and overall effectiveness.
- Conduct regular audits and quality control checks to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols and procedures within the CAD system.
- Stay informed about new and emerging technologies in the field of public safety and make recommendations for their implementation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation for the CAD system, including user manuals and training materials.
- Provide technical support and assistance to emergency services personnel during high-stress situations.
- Communicate with vendors and service providers to resolve system issues and coordinate necessary updates and maintenance.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the CAD system to meet the changing needs of the community and emergency services.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Working With Cad Systems In A Public Safety Or Emergency Services Setting
Knowledge Of Public Safety Operations And Procedures, Including 911 Call Handling And Dispatch Protocols
Proficiency In Database Management And System Troubleshooting
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Train And Support Users Of The Cad System.
