  1. Collaborate with city officials and community members to understand their needs and desires for architectural projects within Santa Monica.
  2. Develop and present design proposals that align with the city's overall vision and goals.
  3. Ensure all designs comply with building codes and regulations.
  4. Conduct research on sustainable design practices and incorporate them into projects whenever possible.
  5. Create detailed and accurate architectural plans, drawings, and models.
  6. Work closely with contractors and construction teams to ensure projects are executed according to design plans.
  7. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including city officials, community members, and other team members.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current architectural trends and techniques.
  9. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
  10. Continuously assess and improve project designs, incorporating feedback from stakeholders.
  11. Contribute to the overall success and growth of the Planning and Community Development Department.
  12. Represent the City of Santa Monica in a professional and positive manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Architecture From An Accredited University.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Architectural Firm.

  • Proficiency In Autocad And Other Architectural Design Software.

  • Knowledge Of Building Codes And Regulations In The City Of Santa Monica.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
