
Compliance Manager

- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures for the City of Santa Clara.
- Monitor and evaluate the City's compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify potential areas of non-compliance.
- Provide guidance and training to City employees on compliance standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations related to the City and proactively adjust compliance strategies as needed.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues, including conducting interviews and gathering evidence.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to compliance efforts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and external partners.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on compliance activities and issues.
- Act as a resource for employees, providing guidance and support on ethical and legal matters.
- Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the City.
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees.
- Collaborate with legal counsel on compliance matters.
- Identify and assess potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Serve as a liaison between the City and regulatory agencies during audits and investigations.
- Represent the City in compliance-related meetings and events.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and advise on opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a discreet and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Compliance Management, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.
Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Compliance And Ethics.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Regulatory Information To Diverse Stakeholders.
Experience Developing And Implementing Compliance Policies And Procedures, As Well As Conducting Compliance Audits And Investigations.
