Associate Planner

The Parks and Recreation Department seeks an energetic individual to fill an Associate Planner position in its dynamic Capital Projects Team.The Associate Planner performs high level professional planning and project management in all phases of park renovation and development, including scoping, design, permitting, and construction; prepares requests for proposals for outside contractors, completes development applications and submittals for design. Conducts community meetings and implements project outreach programs. Performs related duties and responsibilities as required. Develop and monitor implementation of policy related to environment, natural resource and biological protection, and open space preservation issues; apply and educate others on sound natural protection and restoration and environmental assessments and protections.
