- Ensure programs and events align with the City's mission and values.
- Develop and implement innovative and engaging programs that promote physical, social, and cultural well-being.
- Collaborate with community organizations and partners to enhance program offerings and reach a wider audience.
- Manage program budgets and resources effectively.
- Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers.
- Communicate effectively with participants, staff, and community members to promote programs and address any concerns or feedback.
- Evaluate program success and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure programs are inclusive and accessible to all community members.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols in organizing and conducting programs.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in recreational programming.
- Represent the City at community events and meetings related to recreational activities.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of program attendance, revenue, and expenses.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with colleagues, participants, and community members.
- Uphold the City's policies and procedures in all aspects of program planning and implementation.
Bachelor's Degree In Recreation Management, Parks And Recreation Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Planning And Implementing Recreation Programs, Preferably In A Municipal Setting.
Knowledge Of Industry Best Practices And Trends In Recreation Program Development And Management.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Diverse Community.
Cpr And First Aid Certification, Or Ability To Obtain Within The First 3 Months Of Employment.
