- Receive and prioritize emergency calls from the public and dispatch appropriate emergency responders to the scene.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all calls received and actions taken.
- Utilize radio and computer-aided dispatch systems to relay information to emergency personnel.
- Monitor and track the location and status of emergency vehicles and personnel.
- Communicate important information to emergency responders, such as location and nature of the emergency, and any potential hazards.
- Remain calm and professional while handling high-stress situations and interacting with distressed callers.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to callers in emergency situations, such as performing life-saving measures.
- Collaborate with other agencies, such as police and fire departments, to ensure a coordinated response to emergencies.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as updating databases and preparing reports.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, including confidentiality and data privacy laws.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain knowledge of emergency response protocols and procedures.
- Support a positive and welcoming atmosphere for the community by providing excellent customer service.
