  1. Maintain and repair wastewater treatment facilities to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and identify potential issues or malfunctions.
  3. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment.
  4. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems in a timely manner.
  5. Use a variety of tools and equipment to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
  6. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory.
  7. Comply with all safety protocols and regulations while performing duties.
  8. Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks.
  9. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of equipment and make recommendations for improvements or replacements.
  10. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices related to wastewater treatment.
  11. Train and mentor new team members as needed.
  12. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to report progress, issues, and concerns.
  13. Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  15. Respond to emergency situations and perform repairs or maintenance as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Wastewater Treatment: Candidates Should Have At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Operating And Maintaining Wastewater Treatment Systems, Including Knowledge Of Pumps, Valves, And Other Equipment.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Protocols: Applicants Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Procedures And Be Able To Identify Potential Hazards In A Wastewater Treatment Facility. This Includes Knowledge Of Lockout/Tagout Procedures, Confined Space Entry, And Hazardous Material Handling.

  • Mechanical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Mechanical Aptitude And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Repair Mechanical Equipment Used In Wastewater Treatment, Such As Pumps, Motors, And Valves.

  • Electrical Knowledge: Knowledge Of Basic Electrical Principles And The Ability To Read And Interpret Electrical Schematics Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Also Have Experience With Electrical Troubleshooting And Repair.

  • Valid Certifications: A Valid California Driver's License And A Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade Iii Or Higher Certification From The California State Water Resources Control Board Are Required For This Position. Additional Certifications, Such As A Confined Space Entry Certificate, May Also Be Preferred.
